Past Ministers

June 1, 2002-June 30, 2004, Paul Britner was our part-time minister.  Paul, a former attorney, came to us from the Washington DC area. Paul graduated from the Earlham School of Religion in May 2002. Paul's selected sermons

September 1, 1998-August 31, 2000, Tara McDonald-Tiner served as our leader. Tara was born in Tennessee, came to Ohio from Oklahoma and was a student at Earlham School of Religion, in Richmond, Indiana.

September 1, 1993-August 31, 1998, Kathryn Hawbaker, born in Wisconsin, graduated Meadeville Lombard, came to our church. She served jointly with New Madison First Universalist Church as well as the First Universalist Church in Eldorado. Kathryn was ordained in the fall of 1993.

September 1, 1992-August 31, 1993, Reverend H. VanKnight served for one year as the church interim minister.

September 1, 1965-August 31, 1992, Reverend Raymond Michel, born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, graduate of Earlham College, and Bangor Theological Seminary with a Master of Divinity. Reverend Michel served jointly with the New Madison and Eldorado First Universalist Church. Rev. Michel retired after serving 27 years, and was made Minister Emeritus, for all of his years of service.

September 1953-1964 Reverend Wells E. Behee served as minister. Reverend Behee a fifth generation Universalist, born in New York, graduated from St. Lawrence University, Master of Divinity degree from St. Lawrence Theological School, Canton, New York. On November 1, 1953 Wells, E. Behee was ordained to the Universalist ministry. Reverend Behee served the New Madison and Eldorado First Universalist Churches.
