Our Social Justice Actions
During the first Sunday service of each month we take a collection for F.I.S.H., a local food bank. If you would like to donate money or items to the F.I.S.H. food bank project, here is a list of products frequently ask for: *Toilet Paper *Diapers *Baby food - no glass jars please *Pork and Beans *Canned Fruit *Canned Vegetables *Canned soup - especially chicken noodle *Boxed Macaroni and Cheese *Money donated to F.I.S.H. is used to pay for things like eggs and milk
All proceeds from concerts benefit non-profit organizations in Darke County.

The Nov./Dec. 2005 GAYT
collection raised $723.92 for the Unitarian Universalist Service Committee
(UUSC).
This is the primary source of fundraising for the UUSC. The UUSC is an independent human rights organization
whose work is grounded in UU principles. More information can be found on the

Sunday, April 22, 2007 An exhibit on the Human and Economic Cost of the Iraq war. Includes a pair of boots with name, rank, and hometown for each Ohio Casualty. A Project of the American Friends Service Committee
Relief Efforts for Hurricanes Katrina, Rita, and Wilma
The Church held two
fundraisers for the Darke County Chapter of the American Red Cross
hurricane relief efforts raising over $1500. In September 2005 a
Pampered Chef party raised over $500 (consultant Brenda Edger generously
donated her commission). The Fall Benefit Concert in November 2005
raised over $1000 (Jim's
Red Pants and
Ann & Phil Case donated the proceeds
from the sale of their CDs).
